In this tutorial we compare OpenStreetMap building footprints against
GlobalBuildingAtlas (GBA), a new dataset from TU Munich covering 2.75 billion buildings worldwide derived from satellite imagery and deep learning.
We cover how to find and download tiles by city in Python, load Parquet format into GeoPandas, and run a statistical + visual comparison of both datasets.
