Boeing (NYSE:BA) reported Q4 EPS of $1.11, ex-items, in line with consensus estimates. Revenues for the quarter fell 8% year-over-year to $16.55 billion, missing consensus estimates of $16.97 billion.
The company sees 2011 EPS of $3.80 to $4.00, vs. consensus estimates of $4.54 per share.
Jim McNerney, chairman, president and chief executive officer, said, "Boeing delivered strong operating performance and exceptional cash generation from core production and services businesses in 2010, which helped mitigate the impact of development program challenges. We're entering 2011 well-positioned for growth, with a large order book, increasing global demand for commercial airplanes, greater clarity around our domestic defense outlook, and significant international defense sales opportunities. Our focus for the year is to deliver the 787 and 747-8; manage disciplined increases in commercial airplane production rates and drive improved competitiveness and financial performance throughout the business."
