Описание: Irwin was named for John Irwin, the original owner of the town site.
Irwin is a borough in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, 22 miles (35 km) southeast of Pittsburgh. Some of the most extensive bituminous coal deposits in the State are located here. In the past, iron foundries, flour mills, car shops, facing and planing mills, electricals goods, and mirror factories provided employment to the residents. In 1900, the population numbered 2,452; it increased to 2,886 in 1910. The population was 3,973 at the 2010 census.
The median income for a household in the borough was $32,758, and the median income for a family was $41,947. Males had a median income of $31,901 versus $23,519 for females. The per capita income for the borough was $18,722. About 6.6% of families and 8.8% of the population were below the poverty line, including 8.4% of those under age 18 and 5.6% of those age 65 or over.

North Versailles Township was formed on September 18, 1869 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The township derives its name from the Palace of Versailles.
As of the census of 2010, there were 10,229 people, 4,785 households, and 2,792 families living in the township. The population density was 1,275 per square mile. There were 5,219 housing units at an average density of 650.7 per square mile. The racial makeup of the township was 82.93% White, 13.77% African American, 0.13% Native American, 0.74% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.22% from other races, and 2.20% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.90% of the population.
The median income for a household in the township was $30,617, and the median income for a family was $38,145. Males had a median income of $31,389 versus $25,451 for females. The per capita income for the township was $16,991. About 8.5% of families and 9.8% of the population were below the poverty line, including 17.4% of those under age 18 and 8.5% of those age 65 or over.

Forest Hills is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 6,518 at the 2010 census, as compared to 6,831 in 2000, and 7,335 in 1990. The borough was named after Forest Hills, Queens.
As of the census of 2010, there were 6,518 people, 3,099 households, and 1,807 families residing in the borough. The population density was 4,073.8 people per square mile (1,572.9/km²). There were 3,304 housing units at an average density of 2,065.0 per square mile (797.3/km²). The racial makeup of the borough was 87.68% White, 9.14% African American, 0.09% Native American, 1.18% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.40% from other races, and 1.49% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.32% of the population.
In 2000, the median income for a household in the borough was $44,922, and the median income for a family was $56,199. Males had a median income of $42,903 versus $31,103 for females. The per capita income for the borough was $26,505. About 4.7% of families and 5.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 8.2% of those under age 18 and 2.7% of those age 65 or over.

East Pittsburgh is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, about 11 miles (18 km) southeast of the confluence of the Monongahela and the Allegheny rivers at Pittsburgh. The population in 1900 stood at 2,883, and in 1910, at 5,615. As of the 2010 census, the borough population was 1,822 having fallen from 6,079 in 1940. George Westinghouse erected large works there which supplied equipment to the great power plants at Niagara Falls and for the elevated and rapid-transit systems of New York. Nearby, the George Westinghouse Bridge over Turtle Creek is a prominent fixture in the area, which is very near the borough of Braddock.
The first transmission from pioneering radio station KDKA (AM) was made from East Pittsburgh on November 2, 1920.
In 1928, an early demonstration of a new medium was conducted at the Westinghouse laboratories in East Pittsburgh. Eventually, the new medium became known as television. Vladimir Zworykin worked for Westinghouse Electric Corporation at that time. He lived in the borough of Wilkinsburg. The Westinghouse Works became the Research and Business Park "Keystone Commons" in 1989.
The median income for a household in the borough was $21,286, and the median income for a family was $32,037. Males had a median income of $26,512 versus $23,050 for females. The per capita income for the borough was $13,391. About 17.5% of families and 22.0% of the population were below the poverty line, including 34.0% of those under age 18 and 10.2% of those age 65 or over.
