A Special Disability Camp was organized at Amarpur RD Block with the objective of ensuring that all Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) receive access to government welfare schemes and essential support services at their doorstep.
The camp brought together officials from various departments including Social Welfare, Health, Education, Rural Development, and Labour, along with representatives from NGOs and local governance institutions. Beneficiaries were provided facilities such as UDID registration, health check-ups, assistive devices distribution, pension enrolment, and awareness on livelihood opportunities.
The initiative aimed to promote inclusive development, accessibility, and empowerment of differently-abled persons. Local leaders and officers emphasized the government’s commitment to ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’, ensuring no individual is left behind in the development process.
The camp also facilitated on-the-spot grievance redressal and counselling, making it a meaningful step towards a disability-inclusive Amarpur.
