In this video, we have our first look at this interesting 1950s RCA Victor AM/FM Console Radio with Duel Record Players. It is a model A-101 with a 10 tube chassis #RC 1096. This unit came in for servicing and will span quite a few videos as we work on the amp, AM/FM radio, 45 RPM player, and a separate 33 1/3 & 78 RPM record player.
We will start with the amplifier as we recap the chassis and get a signal from the preamp and out through the speaker. Once we have the amp working, we will diagnosis the AM/FM circuits and perform an IF/RF tune on it. Next, we will service the RCA Victor RP-190 45 player. Lastly, we will look at the additional console's record player for playing 33 1/3 and 78 RPM records.
This is an amazing collection of RCA Victor components that was released in a console, that we will be servicing to tip top shape in this video series.
