Intercession is Jesus’ ongoing act of standing in God’s presence and presenting petitions for us as our great High Priest. Even now, He is praying for you—pleading your case, securing your future. Intercession also refers to the prayers we offer for others. Through Christ, we are invited into this holy work of lifting one another before the Father.

🙏🏼 Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for constantly interceding for me. Because of Your finished work on the cross, I can boldly come before the Father. Teach me to stand in the gap for others, just as You stand for me. Stir my heart to start a lifestyle—and maybe even a ministry—of intercession. Help me to see the needs around me and respond in prayer. Draw me deeper into Your presence, that I may be filled with Your Spirit and guided by Your love. Place on my heart the people and situations You want me to pray for. Use me, Lord, as a vessel of Your grace. I pray this in Your name, amen!
