Namunukula Mountain is one of the most breathtaking natural landmarks in Sri Lanka’s Uva Province, rising proudly near the town of Badulla. The name “Namunukula” means “Nine Peaks” in Sinhala, perfectly describing the mountain range’s distinctive formation of nine separate summits. Standing at approximately 2,036 meters (6,680 feet) above sea level, it is among the tallest mountains in the country and offers spectacular panoramic views of lush tea plantations, rolling hills, and distant valleys. Rich in biodiversity, the surrounding forests are home to a variety of endemic flora and fauna, making it an important ecological treasure.
