A random review and a mutter from the seat of a mystery bike.
The Mars Bar Kid’s review
I have ridden about 5 or 6 'modern' scooters with CVT transmission in my
time and this is the second one I have owned.
At the start of Covid I was living in Essex near London went everywhere on it and even as far as Croydon Via the Blackwall tunnel once. Two up it isn't really adequate perfomance wise but it makes me smile for the sheer audacity of two mature adults filtering through London like pizza delivery boys. I like that there is no L plate so it tells proper bikers that I am riding it through choice and that my other bike is a Ducati!
The front fork travel is a bit short and two up it's a bit soft and with the small front wheel it quickly tells you to avoid potholes or suffer the bang!
The front brake isn't the best but it's only really a concern two up.
I dislike the concepts of the linked brakes but I haven't bothered to investigate unlinking them.
I actually like the handling, albeit it is a bit bouncy and a bit wobbly. You can actually keep up with A road traffic most of the time.
I love love love the underseat shopping or for putting a helmet in.
I love the fuel economy.
With just me on board it it is fast enough and no more. It encourages you to use all of the potential 9.92bhp all of the time. You cannot over rev it but you can def rag it! It is faster now than when it was new.
