Testing Black Mountain Picks Thumbpick

I have never successfully used a thumbpick before, and I rarely use a flatpick, but I decided to try these.
This is before-and-after comparison without the pick and then attempting the same thing with the pick.
I only started messing with this about a half hour ago, and it seems easier than I expected, although my picking here is far from perfect. The fit is great, the spring-loaded gripper grabs the thumb securely, and the pick is like a normal flatpick rather than the shape of a normal thumbpick.
I think I really like the difference in the sound — it has a much stronger attack than a bare thumb, amplifies the bass notes so the sound has stronger bass AND an overall much brighter sound at the same time. I’m thinking these things could be habit-forming! Good job, Black Mountain! 👍🤟🎸
