Both Tesla EV chargers are good products, but they have different advantages and applications.

Mobile Connector maxes out at 32 amps (7.2 kW), it will add about 10% per hour to a Model 3/Y, while the wall connector can go up to 48 amps and add 15% of battery per hour for those same cars. However, the TWC needs to be professionally hardwired to your electrical panel, while the TMC offers several types of outlet adapters. The cost difference is not substantial if you also need to be wired up for 240V level 2 charging in your home, so the Wall Connector is a better choice long-term for most people. But renters, and people who do not want to make a permanent installation, will be happy with the mobile connector.
