Take a journey with my partner Brody and I as we head out to Centerville Beach County Park in Ferndale, CA. Located approximately 23 miles south of Eureka, CA. Take Centerville Road east from 4 miles Ferndale, CA. We also go up to the grounds of the Naval Facility (NAVFAC) Centerville Beach was a Sound Surveillance System (SOSUS) shore terminal, in which output of the array at sea was processed and displayed by means of the Low Frequency Analyzer and Recorder (LOFAR), established on the Pacific coast. We also go up to the Fleener Creek Overlook. This video was shot prior to the February 24, 2024 a landslide took out the parking lot and a lot of the cliff side. My son and I returned to get 4K drone footage of what it looks like today.

An easy stop off of Highway 101 through Fernbridge, Centerville Beach is another great example of the beaches on the North Coast of Humboldt, California.
