Chilean students demand education reform

It has been another day of protests in Chile with tens of thousands of students demonstrating in the capital against their country's education system.

Chilean students are demanding fundamental reform to a highly privatised education system - tuition fees there are among the highest in the world.

There were isolated incidents of vandalism. However, student leaders sought to distance themselves from the violence. The protests have been taking place for months.

Al Jazeera's Teresa Bo spoke to students from Chile's Catholic University taking part in the protests.
