White smoke comes out of my bike exhaust, not while driving but when I stop the bike and rev the engine for a while. What is wrong?
Your bike pistons have a so-called blow-by, at the power stroke, the burnt gas has bypassed the piston rings and oil rings to go down to the crankcase, the oil is sucked up to the combustion chamber and burned with white smoke coming out from your bike’s exhaust pipe. Check your crankcase oil, it must be brown or black color. Your bike has too many miles on it, the pistons rings and oil rings need to be replaced.

i have been a victim of this white smoke… this generally happens when your engine has bored out which means the gap between your piston and the bore has increased, which means more fuel burnt and less power output. You may have to check and get your engine overhauled. The other reasons are already mentioned.

I did get my pulsar 180 2002 model’s engine overhauled in 2013 but due to unavailability of exact parts its not like the same old pulsar. It has become a lot peppier and there is a considerable decrease in power. It costed me around INR 13k FYI.

White generally comes when engine oil is mixed in the combustion chamber. The oil move through the gaps between the bore and the cylinder causing it mix up with the fuel and white smoke is emitted.

My technicans say that the bore is gone and other stuff but it is nonsense. Its not true. Due to expansion of bore size and generally because of wear of piston rings attached to piston walls which leads to this cause.

Generally bore will get damage when you ripe the engine above the redline and all. If you consider same theory of white smoke. We see generally in autorickshaw. We see white smoke coming

Clean the oil and air filter for better fuel combustion. White smoke mainly comes due to that. And change engine oil

Get your spark plugs checked and your silencer cleaned. If the problem persists, you may have to go for an engine
