Why I Follow The New Way

Eternal life is not just a belief, it is a way. A way of life. That is the way that I've found it's called the new way. We read a lot in the book of Acts about the new way. The way the apostles were on was called the new way. "The way" they called it. The way of Christ. That was the way that they got persecuted for. And that is the way to the eternal kingdom of God. It is an actual way of life. It is not a belief, it's a way of life. And people who walked on that way of life, gave away the world and they sold their possessions that they didn't need and they just gave themselves to the way. That is the way of a true follower of Jesus who has come to realize that he is indeed the Messiah. In these days of Noah, we have a lot of false believers. They don't live the way. They say they believe, but they don't live the way. The way is walking in the self-denial because you have something better to live for in the kingdom of heaven. The way is the realisation that you want the eternal life of the Kingdom of God over the lusts and pursuits of this world. That is why those who follow this new way they longer chase their ways of this world. They don't chase sport anymore. They don't chase immorality and chase having a good time with all their friends. They don't chase being cool. They don't chase the movie and music industry because they have found the new way. They give all that away. They give it all away. They deny themselves of what their flesh wants because they know they got something better in the kingdom of God. They know that their flesh will make them miss out on the kingdom of God. As it is written if you live after the flesh and its dictates you will perish, but if you put to death the deeds of the flesh and follow the spirit, you will inherit eternal life. So when we follow after Jesus Christ, that is called living after the spirit. We go that way, we get baptized in the way, we live that way every day. We just want to live that way. We are looking to crucify every lustful and evil desire that rises up in our flesh. We're looking to take every thought captive that is evil to submission to Jesus Christ. That is the way. It is not the way of "Let's go and have fun in the world and let's just hang out with our friends". And people say, "Jesus went with sinners and you know Paul said that I want to look like these sort of people to help these sort of people". It's all a lie to think that mixing in with sinners in their sin is doing that. It's not! That is called hypocrisy, but Paul would made himself like other people in way of talking, in getting down on their level so he could speak to them about the way to eternal life. He wasn't joining them in their drinking smoking swearing and joke loving immorality. He wasn't chasing sport with them. He wasn't being entertained by the Romans at the Coliseum. No, he was separate from all those things. He was being persecuted, walking a hard walk, a hard life. What he meant by coming down to their level was that he was coming down and not being all "holier than thou" and hight and might, but he was coming down to their level so that he could speak to them. But that's what Christians do today. They go along to the TV with their friends and watch all this nonsense and sin, they chase all this sport or go to the football game or whatever game they are interested in. they think they're somehow shinning for Jesus. That is a lie. They don't even know Jesus, they aren't walking the way. But today we are to walk the way, be separate from all these things, turn yourself away from the way this world chases so people can see you and say, "hey that guy's different I wonder why". Then you got an answer for them as to why you'r different. You say it is because of Jesus Christ. Now many people are very ashamed of that and they don't want to be seen as different. But people who are walking the way, want people to see how they are different because of Jesus Christ and the hope that they have and so when able to share that hope they do; why they have this hope, why they don't follow the world, and why they arnt entertained by this sinful society. And people see and wonder why don't you follow the way we do. And then they want to know, and so you tell them and they're confronted with the truth right then and there. But all these other false hypocrite Christians doing everything as everybody else, everybody just laughs at their Jesus, "you know he doesn't change you, you just live like us", they say. And that's exactly right. You do, you do just live like them. And guess what; you don't even know Jesus don't follow him and he certainly isn't leading you to eternal life. So I want to warn you; are you on the way? If you're not you need to repent and be separate. Pull away from following your own ways and get serious about Jesus time is running out. Come on the way of Christ. Repent deny yourself and get baptized into the way
