Tour Aotearoa is a New Zealand bicycle touring event really well organised starting at Cape Reinga (top of North Island) all the way down to Bluff (bottom of South Island) that covers overs 3000kms of sealed/gravel roads and trails.
Tour Aotearoa 2023 edition was definitely marked by Cyclone Gabrielle that caused a lot of destruction in the country prior to the event start with flight’s cancellation, floods, slips, road closures, power outages, trees down, bridges washed away and much more which added extra challenge for all rides to face.
