I could think of no better way to end our look at Laurie's brilliant album, Time Between the Time, then with HOME from The Wiz!
In my opinion this is one of Laurie's most personal and powerful performances. As she says here, she has performed the song for many years but in this performance all roads do indeed lead home. Earlier performances of this song were raw and thrilling, to be sure. However, this was the ideal moment where age, wisdom and life experiences combined to create that oft times elusive perfect golden moment! The majesty of that final, soaring, seemingly endless note at the end induces goosebumps every time you watch this clip!
