This video takes an in-depth look into the Revive Pilates program designed by Ryan Kalish. The program is designed for people of all ages and any physical condition.
The program is 3 months and will take you through a Pilates workout 5 days a week. Each video will be anywhere from 20-35 minutes long working the entirety of your body throughout the week.
The focus of the program will be on our center of gravity also known as our core. We will learn how too coordinate our inhale and exhales with a specific movement for each. By doing so you will learn how direct energy to your core and disperse to all parts of the body. This will give younot only give you physical results as we go along the program but will also enhance our mental sharpness as well.
Joseph Pilates who created Pilates said “Pilates is complete coordination of body, mind and spirit.” This in my humble opinion is very true of the Pilates practice.
Joseph also said this. “A man is as young as his spinal column.” This leads to another main focus and specialty of the program which is our postures. When we are born we immediately begin to battle with gravity. Gravity is compressing us down towards the earth and Pilates was specifically designed to be the kryptonite against that force.
With my personal experience with many injuries (14 surgeries) from a long professional baseball career I needed an exercise routine to revive my mind, body, and spirit. Pilates was just the remedy. Now I am back in great health and can do all the physical things I want to do post sports career.
It also very much helped my mental health which in today's day and age more awareness is being brought to the issue every single day. All of the inhaling and exhaling along with the movement is very meditative. You can also achieve this and you'll start to feel and see the benefits in week 1.
