Speaking Mandarin Chinese requires a solid understanding of sentence-final particles: single characters added to the end of a phrase or statement to reinforce or clarify the meaning of a sentence. The most common ones are 吗，吧 and 呢.
These help not only in constructing clear sentences, but proper usage will also result in native-like sentence structures. This is not only about speaking basic Chinese, but rather speaking Chinese like native speakers do.
