Telecom Revolution in India || Azad Bharat Ki Baat Akashvani Ke Saath

Telecom revolution has led the country to the 21st century’s modern India and to the edge of having the 5G network.

Department of Telecommunications, DoT was established in 1985 to groom telecom services. In 1986, MTNL and VSNL were set up to handle domestic and international services.

TRAI was set up in 1997 while the New Telecom Policy was announced in 1999 by the then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

India is now all set for 5G with higher mobile internet speeds and lower latency rates.

DoT targets to ensure higher broadband speed through 100 percent broad band connectivity with optical fibre rollouts by the end of 2024.
