Let’s start with the construction. It’s made of polypropylene, which is a really durable plastic. It doesn’t get brittle in the cold, it is very resistant to UV radiation, meaning it can be left outside in all winds and weathers and it won’t fail. Polypropylene is even fire retardant! These ribs and contours add to the strength, meaning that this is an unbelievably tough box. There are also integral handles to make handling the box easier.

Moving onto the lid – this is one of the most important components on this box. It completely seals the box thanks to this TPE rubber compression seal pressing onto this lip. It makes the box completely rainproof and helps keep out dust and damp. This sort of waffle feature here adds huge strength to the lid and stops it bending. It’ll even support my weight! The strong clasps close the lid and allow it to be tamper sealed, or even locked if appropriate.

It has been designed to accommodate up to 4 6ltr or 6kg size fire extinguishers, including 2kg CO2 units. 9ltr and 9kg size extinguishers, as well as 5kg CO2 units, do not fit. But don’t forget that it’s not only extinguishers that can be put in here – it can house a huge range of fire safety products.

The box was specially designed for protection of fire safety equipment in external locations. One key application is caravan parks and holiday home parks. It is also ideal for temporary external applications, such as construction sites and events such as music festivals.

But the box is so versatile you can use it for all sorts of things! It makes a great organizer for your van or garage, and being weatherproof can even be mounted externally on a vehicle for housing equipment like straps and ropes. This is a remarkably versatile product!

And if you’re buying in bulk, the lids can be removed and the boxes stack on a pallet to reduce transportation costs and reduce your carbon footprint.
