Luca Mora is a Professor of Urban Innovation at Edinburgh Napier University and Tallinn University of Technology. With 15 years of experience in smart city development, Luca has authored more than 50 international publications for top-tier academic journals, including Nature, and the books “Untangling Smart Cities” (Elsevier, 2019) and “Smart City Code” (Elsevier, 2025). Luca has contributed to generating more than €43 million through research and consultancy projects, mainly supported by the European Commission, United Nations, and the Development Bank of Latin America.
The talk was given at the Urban Digital Twins for a Sustainable Transformation of Cities conference at City Science Lab, HafenCity University Hamburg, Germany.
