From the Alps of northern Italy and southern France, Waldensians are protestants (evangelicals / Bible-believing Christians) that can trace their roots to the 1st century AD. Here are a list of notable Waldensians or people that shared beliefs in common with the Waldensians:

They were present in Poland from the year 1200. Waldensians were also known as Vallenses or Vaudois. This video has English subtitles.

Waldensians: missional, Bible-believing Christians. Peter Waldo and his teams shared the gospel in several places in Europe in the late 1100s. The future Waldensians continued this work in the 1200s & onwards. These teams quickly reached most of Europe (12 regions!) with the gospel: Britain, Scotland, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Poland, Lithuania, Croatia, Bulgaria and modern day Czech Republic. The Waldensians had their own training schools. Here they trained only in the Bible and prepared for their mission. They committed Bible passages to heart and carried the Bible with them by sewing it into their clothing. Wherever they were sent to, they searched for a person of peace that they can witness to and disciple. Many were persecuted and even lost their lives for sharing the gospel.
