1. Consonance to Republic Act 7079 or the Campus Journalism Act of 1991, that all
schools shall uphold and protect the freedom of the press even at the campus level
and promote the development and growth of campus journalism as a means of
strengthening ethical values, encouraging critical and creative thinking, and
developing moral character and personal discipline of the Filipino youth.

2. Pavia National High School through the Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) conducts
this activity to sustain its advocacy on social consciousness and promotion of
journalism competence even in this time of the pandemic.

3.Pavia National High School is true to its mission to help the learners become more aware of the current situation of their community as they become more responsive and proactive citizens at a young age who adheres to the values of fairness, balance, and truthfulness.

OBJECTIVES
The first ONLINE JOURNALIMPICS aims to:
• emphasize the importance of multi-platform campus journalism in the new normal;
• promote information literacy among the participants; and
• apply the concept of development-oriented journalism in their articles particularly
• highlighting the positive response of the LGUs on the COVID-19 situations
