Important win11 users read ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

for windows 11 users if your having issues with fx config not working please read and follow this a issue was introduced with a update they did that seems to deliberately break fx config these are your only options
really first try and Install the below files Google them that should fix your issues
Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes 2005-2017 (VisualCppRedist_AIO_x86_x64_13.zip). For Windows 10, install .Net and Visual C++ Appx ( dotNetAppx_x86_x64_v1.zip + VisualCppAppx_x86_x64_v2.zip.
credit to CdrBacara for this bit of the fix go to the FX Configurator folder and run "Launcher.exe" as administrator rather than clicking FXConfigurator.exe

if no luck try a system restore to before you install fx config and apo for the first time second option install windows 10 that has a 100% chance of it all working fine 3rd install a Linux build as some Linux builds come
with dts and Dolby support builtin and you can simplify enable it with a single button
