Lake Eland is a game reserve with a variety of wild animals. There are numerous fun activities to do such as zip line & extreme tours, scooter tour, the choice of guided or self game drives, paintball and a suspension bridge with breathtaking views. Roads were unpaved, a 4x4 would be ideal, however, you can make your way there with a car at low speed. Do book in advance as they tend to get fully booked during the festive season. In addition, they also host a Christmas day lunch for guests and day visitors. We had a Chicken burger with fries and a Coca-Cola - be sure to check out their menu for a full range of meals on offer.
Day visitor entrance fee is R80 per adult and R50 per child.
Lake Eland Game Reserve gate times: 7am - 5pm, Monday - Sunday.
Guided game drives are R250 per person for a 2-hour game drive tour
Zipline and scooter hours: 8:45am - 3:00pm
Restaurant hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm
