He hit his head on the concrete — a scary moment on its own — but what made it even heavier is that this came after spending 8 months in the hospital recovering from multiple brain tumor surgeries.

He reached out because he needed help with his lawn.
But once I showed up, it became clear he needed something more than that — he needed a friend.

Over the next three days, we worked side by side, talked, laughed, and slowly turned an overwhelming situation into something manageable again. After the lawn was finished, I surprised him with a few things to help him moving forward.

But the real gift wasn’t the cleanup…
It was the friendship that formed along the way.
