On the Ground at Jantar Mantar ft. Mukul | CJP Protest 2.0 | Jist

Описание: On October 10, 2026, Delhi witnessed heightened security ahead of the CJP (Cockroach Janta Party) protest at Jantar Mantar, dubbed “Jantar Mantar 2.0.” The protest was called over alleged irregularities in voter list revisions and demands for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Heavy police and paramilitary deployment, barricades and restrictions were put in place across parts of the capital, while several protesters and CJP leaders were detained as they attempted to reach the protest site. The police had denied permission for the demonstration at Jantar Mantar. This ground report captures the situation in Delhi, the police action, the protesters’ demands and the questions surrounding the right to peaceful protest and democratic dissent.
