You may have heard Dundee City Council have launched a consultation to address their budget deficit. One of the options they put forward is cutting up to 100% of our grant funding. Our friends at DCA, Creative Dundee, Dundee Heritage Trust (Discovery Point and Verdant Works) and UNESCO City of Design, have also been included for potential cuts.
We're asking for your support before they close the consultation on Friday 19 December at 12pm.We wish we didn't have to ask you for your help again, but we fear that if we don’t build a wave of support from you, this will be used as a reason to remove our funding. The funding will cease, and our work and communities will be severely impacted.
Public action can, and should, influence political decisions. If you're able, please complete the online consultation form by Fri 19 Dec to help Dundee Rep Theatre and our colleagues across the city. We're on page 22 (question 68 and 76). You don’t have to fill out the whole form if you don’t wish, just fill in your postcode and click through to get there.
