It was supposed to take three years to build - but 11 years later, and after a massive budget blowout, the International Convention Centre finally opened today.
With capacity for more than 4,000 guests, and 120 events already confirmed for this year, it's hoped the venue will breathe new life into Auckland's CBD. Zane Small reports.
