Hi hello howdy! Every once in a while on this #waltzwednesday journey I think of a waltz I totally already know and can actually sort of play without working too terribly hard at it and somehow haven’t yet recorded for this series. Today is one of those magical days. I present to you Forty Years Ago Waltz, which is a beautiful tune that may actually be yet another Missouri tune. (Quick side note: When are we gonna give Missouri fiddling the credit it’s due? I’m starting to understand why some of the Missouri fiddlers I know get a little prickly about this topic.) In any case, I think @fiddlershanecook plays this one particularly well so check him out when you get a chance. He’s not from Missouri but he’s awesome nonetheless.
