When Slow Can be Blazingly Fast - Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 Overclocked to 4.4GHz+ on LN2

Описание: This was one of my first sessions on LN2 after coming back from my recent trip in Thailand in late November and early December. I binned a few dozen of these Core 2 Duo E6550 chips and found 3 some what ok ones. This best one had amazing core but FSB could only do 566MHz, which is quite far from the target of 670MHz.

My guess was right again, as I was able to get around 60-70MHz more on the FSB from the cold temperatures of LN2. So if we want to hit 670+ on LN2 next time, we need a CPU that can do at least 600MHz FSB on ambient cooling. Nonetheless, I was able to break 4/6 of the important top scores with this CPU, and biggest surprise was on WPrime 32M, as I managed to break that one with a whopping 300MHz lower CPU frequency.
