ABOUT ASIAN HIGHWAY 👇👇👇👇

The Asian Highway network connects Nepal with India and China, primarily through AH2 (Kakarvitta - Mahendranagar) and AH42 (Raxaul – Narayanghat – Kathmandu – Kodari). AH2, a 1,321 km stretch in Nepal, is being upgraded and is expected to be fully operational. AH42 connects Nepal's major highways and borders, totaling 297 km.
Elaboration:
AH2 (Kakarvitta - Mahendranagar):
This section of the Asian Highway runs for 1,027 km in Nepal. It's a significant part of the network, connecting the eastern part of Nepal with India.
AH42 (Raxaul – Narayanghat – Kathmandu – Kodari):
This highway connects Nepal's major highways, including the Tribhuvan Rajpath, Mahendra Rajmarg, Prithivi Rajmarg, and Arniko Rajmarg. It also links Nepal to China and India through its borders.
Construction and Upgrades:
The Asian Highway is being upgraded in Nepal, with a focus on improving road quality and connectivity. The 120-kilometer stretch from Kakarbhitta to Laukahi is being upgraded as part of the project.
