Legendary magician Shimada first appeared on television in the US in 1971 in Milt Larsen's "It's Magic." On the show he performed his Parasol Act, with which he quickly gained traction in the entertainment industry and toured widely.
In 1979 Shimada appeared on "Abracadabra It's Magic!" starring Dick Cavett (this video). Here, Shimada added his signature Dragon Act, bringing the performance to stellar heights, the likes of which has rarely been seen in magic, even to this day.
Shimada passed away in 2022 at the age of 81, but his magical artistry will live on forever.
