Vineet's father, Alok Rai, lodged a case against Shankar Pandey, the alleged leader of the Katra gang, along with Sonu Yadav, Kamlesh Bind, and Monu Tripathi.
Later, on the night of June 3, the police killed Kamlesh Bind in an encounter. He was carrying a reward of ₹1 lakh on his head.
In this case, Shankar Pandey, Sonu Yadav, and Monu Tripathi are still absconding. A reward of ₹1 lakh has been announced for Shankar Pandey, while rewards of ₹50,000 each have been declared for the other two accused.
