Torah Portion: B'reshiyt
Scripture Reading: Genesis 1:1-6:8
The Hebrew name for the first book of the Torah, and the first parsha within is B'reshiyt (בראשית). In this opening portion is the beginning of all things. Consequently, this portion is quite lengthy.
