How to Manually Migrate a WordPress Site to a New Web Host

Описание: In this video, you will see how to manually migrate a WordPress website to a new web host. The process is completely manual. You can select any web host of your choice.

First, you need to download the files and the database from the existing web host. Create a ZIP of all the files and download them because it would take so much time to download the files one by one. If your site has a lot of data, you need to use a FTP client to download the ZIP.

For the database, you need to export it under the PHPMyAdmin option.

Now, on the new web host, create a blank website; you do not need to install WordPress; then upload the ZIP in the public_html folder and unzip all the files there.

Create a new database and a database user.

You need to update the wp-config.php file. Replace the database name, database username, and database password with the new details.

Finally, you need to point the domain to the new web host. Find the nameservers for the new web host and update the domain nameservers accordingly.
