This pier is 906 feet long and was built in 1936 by Julian Scarborough and St. Julian Springs. As of 2020 it is still the longest pier in the Grand Strand.
The 2nd Ave Pier takes visitors out into the Atlantic’s depths for a breath taking coastline view whether you just enjoy a leisure walk or stay and do some afternoon fishing. Either experience is sure to please.
The pier is open March 1st through the end of November. The parking is always free. You can check out their face book page for the pier and fishing rates for the current year.
Hungry after your walk? You can enjoy tasty food with a gorgeous view at the Wicked Tuna restaurant. It is a 2 level restaurant/bar located at the entrance of the pier. Been there many times and have to say the sushi is awesomeness!
