7 Spices, also called Sabaa Baharat or Lebanese 7 Spice is a mixture of sweet and savory spices that is used in many Middle Eastern Dishes. Seven Spices combines cinnamon, coriander, black pepper, cumin, allspice, cloves and nutmeg often in equal measurements. It is aromatic, with a perception of sweetness and bitterness. I have adjusted the measurements in this video to what I find is the best combination for my and my family's tastes. This Sabaa Baharat spice mixture (Lebanese seven spices) blend can differ between regions of Lebanon or even families. Other spices that can be used or added are fenugreek, cardamom, and ginger to name a few. Lebanese 7 spices add volumes of flavor to any recipe.
