Scan to CAD GOM inspect

Описание: This is a part scanned with an Einscan SP, then imported into GOM inspect to align the mesh with the origin and prepared to import it into Fusion 360 for reverse engineering.
The first third or so is adding some features, then using features to align the part to the origin.
The second third or so is adding more features and showing how to get various dimensions off the scanned part.
The last part is importing into Fusion 360 and playing around with the model a little.

I am not a video maker and didn't have time to narrate it or anything. Sorry it's not the greatest video but I have seen enough people ask questions about the scan to CAD workflow using GOM I thought I would throw something together.

One note I feel worth explaining in this process is making features normal to other features.
For example you will notice I made the brake caliper bracket constraint normal to the hub face. That way the features will all be normal to the origin plane and each other. Then most of the bores/cylinders I add the constraint to be normal to a face. This is important if you want to use those cylinders as a reference point. If the cylinder is not normal to the plane even if it is extremely close if you try to project it onto a plane either in GOM or in your CAD software it will project as a spline or elipse with no center point. However if you make the cylinder normal to the plane then try to project it onto that plane or a normal plan in CAD it will project as a circle with a center point.
