Led by two queer, Colombian-American women, Andrea Chavarro and Katherine Ocampo, Lulada transplants the shimmer and excitement of Cali Colombia salsa straight to the heart of NYC with all the grandeur of a traditional big band. One of the genre's rare all-women orchestras, Lulada's electrifying energy showcases their virtuosic musicianship while celebrating the vibrant essence of Latin culture. Vocalist Chavarro leads the ensemble in a set of music hailing from across the Latin American diaspora. More than just a performance, Lulada Club inspires younger generations by fostering pride within the Latine community.
