If you’ve been on TikTok for more than five minutes, you’ve probably seen JiYu being RELENTLESSLY on tiktok shop. But once you actually look into the brand… things get weird and a little...suss as the kids say.

I wanted to take a look into this alleged Korean Beauty brand, JiYu, and their whole online presence because the red flags are everywhere. The TikTok Lives that feel like QVC, the tiktok shop posts that all sound like they were written by the same person, and the AI dermatologists recommending this product on Instagram that are so blatant it’s almost funny.

Then there’s the website. Their reviews are oddly perfect. And somehow their Amazon rating tells a very different story. Interesting....

The product itself....spoiler: is fine...ITS FINE. Totally fine. But nothing close to the miracle claims being thrown around. Their big “proprietary complex” is basically a bunch of very normal k-beauty skincare ingredients with a fancy name.

And of course, the big question: is JiYu even a Korean brand? Because the more you look into it, the more it starts feeling like an American company cosplaying as k-beauty. The trademark filings, the ownership, the founders, the missing Korean presence....nothing is adding up.
