In this video, we solve Problem 5.23 from Griffiths' Introduction to Electrodynamics (4th Edition). The problem asks us to:
Find the magnetic vector potential A\mathbf{A}A of a finite straight wire segment carrying a steady current III.
The wire lies along the z-axis, from z1z_1z1 to z2z_2z2.
Use Equation (5.66) and verify that the result is consistent with Equation (5.37).
We apply the Biot–Savart law for vector potential and perform the integration step by step.
