This video documents the story of Malampaya Foundation's grassroots-approach marine biodiversity conservation work in two locations in Oriental Mindoro, the municipalities of Gloria and Puerto Galera, and how deeply involved communities are in the process of managing, governing and enforcing laws in marine protected areas to help reduce threats to the marine ecosystem. It also demonstrates the socio-economic improvement projects to provide supplemental livelihoods to fisherfolks, their families, and other front liners in community-based conservation work. The Agsalin, Gloria site won national champion at the Para El Mar 2017 awards.
Malampaya Foundation's marine biodiversity conservation program spans North Palawan, east coast Mindoro and Batangas City.
