Lakhs of passengers travel on the roads every day, out of which many vehicles do not have fast tag, due to which they have to pay in cash. Now a plan has been made to start UPI service for these people. It will be started from Kherki Daula toll near Manesar in Haryana from today. QR codes will be installed for this at the toll plaza. New beginning from today
NHAI has started QR code at toll plazas for toll tax today. However, it is being started at only one toll plaza in the country, Kherki Daula toll. Here, those who pay double the charge in cash can make payment through UPI. This means that passengers will now get the option of UPI payment along with cash. According to officials, its launch from today can also be called a trial mode.

Cash or UPI which is better?
UPI payment has been started on a trial basis at this toll in Haryana. It will be seen whether it takes more time or less to make payment than cash. However, it is being said that making payment through UPI will take less time than cash. This study will make it clear how much this time will be reduced.

When will it start in the country?
The system of making payments through UPI will be implemented across the country only after getting its feedback. QR codes will be given at all toll plazas, on which the name of the company running that toll will be written. Apart from saving time, this will also help in preventing major frauds in the system of paying toll in cash.
