In a unanimous decision, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that the governments of Ontario and Canada made a ‘mockery’ of their treaty obligations to the Anishinaabe of the upper Great Lakes for the past 150 years. Whitesand First Nation Chief Lawrence Wanakamik, Red Rock Indian Band Chief Allan Odawa Jr. and lawyer Harley Schachter react to the ruling.
