The Elgon region in the Eastern Uganda is referred to as the land of a thousand waterfalls - evidence of which is sprinkled all over the area. Wanale Waterfalls is that landmark that makes Mbale City ever so proud since it can actually be viewed from some points around the city.
Imagine what it’s like experiencing not one but over five waterfalls in a day’s excursion around Mbale and Kapchorwa!
This video captures the allure of Nakibiso Falls (some people have since contested the name saying it’s “Namatsyo” and others (both locals and Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guides) say that’s the name. Others say the falls are known by the two names.
Clips of the beautiful Chebonet Falls on Kapkwai Forest and the Sipi Falls of Kapchorwa also feature in the video.
