Talking about Federal Taxes

In this session, FEPPP Special Populations Program Supervisor Miladys Garcia will walk through lessons on reading a paycheck available in English and Spanish and discuss how this knowledge is particularly beneficial for vulnerable youth. FEPPP K-8 Program Supervisor Amy Kliewer will share ready-to-implement lessons and simulations for filing federal income taxes, as well as examples of dark patterns – deceptive design practices that manipulate consumers – in tax preparation software.
