Known for having one of the greatest exhaust notes in history, the LFA’s V10 engine was co-developed with Yamaha to sound like a literal instrument. Today, we take the wheel of this 2010 legend to see if it still holds the crown of the ultimate driving experience.
Built with a carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) body and a passion for perfection, here is what makes the LFA a unicorn:
Engine: 4.8L Naturally Aspirated V10 (1LR-GUE)
Power: 553 hp @ 8,700 rpm
Torque: 354 lb-ft @ 6,800 rpm
Transmission: 6-Speed Automated Sequential Gearbox (ASG)
0-60 mph: 3.6 Seconds
Top Speed: 202 mph (325 km/h)
Redline: 9,000 rpm (The digital tachometer was required because an analog needle couldn't keep up with the engine's rev speed!)
