That right there is one of the top questions I receive from parents. First and foremost, there are no hacks or magic pills that can substitute for strength and technique. 💯 #ReadItAgain
Ask your athlete to stand up and squeeze their quadriceps. I’d bet at LEAST 75% of athletes with bent legs will look at you like 🥴
Now ask your athlete to do a toe touch. Did their feet land together or apart? 🤔
One more… Ask your athlete to do a reverse plank (I’ll post a picture in my stories). Their mission is to keep their feet together. Your mission is to grab their feet and pull their legs apart. Who won? Did you have an easy time pulling their legs apart?
Your baby needs stronger quads for straighter legs. They need stronger adductors so they can squeeze their legs together in motion. If you want your athlete to have strong tumbling, then they HAVE TO BE STRONG! #ReadItAgain
It’s the end of the season. Your baby should be conditioning for at least 30-40 minutes a day OUTSIDE of their gym.
