In the automotive world, wading—driving through deep water at low speeds—is crucial for safely navigating flooded roads or crossing rivers. Knowing the possible wading depth is essential to prevent damaging the car.
In this example case we used the so called DrivAer Model from the Institute of Aerodynamics and Fluid Mechanics (TU Munich) as the vehicle model.
We at shonCloud analyze how cars perform in these challenging conditions with the help of shonDy.

This simulation was done with shonDy, which is based on the MPS (Moving Particle semi-implicit) method. A method similar to the SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) method.
